We have an excellent opportunity for a Digital Innovation Analyst to join our Digital Innovation team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Full-Time, 18-Month Fixed–Term Contract.
As Digital Innovation Analyst, you will act as a key liaison between Digital Innovation and service areas, ensuring requirements are clearly gathered, prioritised, and communicated, while keeping stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned with team objectives. Working in partnership with the Team Manager - Digital Delivery, you will support and champion digital systems and innovations that enable the organisation to deliver efficient, user-focused, and digitally enabled services.
This role involves analysing service requests to recommend and schedule digital solutions, collaborating with change colleagues to maximise benefits, and providing ongoing technical support. You will also partner with developers and testers to resolve system errors and performance issues.
You'll ensure the benefits of digital improvements are thoroughly documented, tracked, and communicated to identify opportunities for broader impact across the council, stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance digital capabilities, streamline processes, and foster a culture of innovation. This includes producing clear, concise documentation and explaining technical information in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Digital Innovation and service areas to gather, prioritise, and communicate requirements while keeping stakeholders aligned.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience, plus a Business Analysis qualification (or demonstrable equivalent knowledge).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specs and analyse digital systems/platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience supporting or analysing digital solutions.
- Capability to convert business processes into clear requirements and produce concise, accessible technical documentation.
- Proven experience engaging stakeholders at all levels and facilitating workshops to gather information.
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
