Senior Resource Centre Officer (Child Care)
About Us: Bridges is an OFSTED registered residential short breaks services. We are committed to providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with diverse needs. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support for children and young people with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans, focusing on each child's specific needs and goals.
- Lead a team of care workers, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
- Promote a positive, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere within the home, where children can thrive and feel valued.
- Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
- Participate in assessments, case reviews, and team meetings to support the continuous improvement of our care services.
- Oversee daily activities and routines, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the care of the children.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role within a residential children's home.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- A deep commitment to providing high-quality care to children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to adapt to challenging and dynamic situations.
- An Enhanced DBS.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A clean UK Drivers Licence (desirable)
