We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person as a SEND Project Coordinator, supporting the Holiday, Activities and Food programme and working across projects within Children’s Services, ensuring that staff are supported and trained to deliver outstanding standards of care.
You will have experience of working with disabled children and ideally experience in a supervisory position, have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 Childcare or equivalent.

You will need an understanding of disability and children’s childcare legislation and know how to apply these to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people. You will also have a knowledge of safeguarding and be able to record and report to the designated safeguarding lead.

You will work with other professionals to provide co-ordinated support to meet the child’s/young person’s needs. Most importantly you will be child focussed in your practice, ensuring that children and young people have a safe and fun experience that promotes their independence and life skills.
About the role
You will be expected to organise, plan and oversee the day to day running of provisions in Wokingham, ensuring that the children and young person have enjoyable visits, a range of stimulating experiences and promote their independence and ensuring that communication needs are met.
The SEND Project Coordinator will supervise and mentor staff, contribute to team meetings and have targeted areas of work.
