Senior Social Worker – Adult Safeguarding Hub

Are you a passionate and innovative Social Worker who is committed to achieving effective outcomes in Adult Safeguarding and being part of a forward-thinking culture?

If so, the council has recently gone through an exciting phase of changing the way it works with this complex and challenging area of practice and we now have a well-established, (but still developing) Adult Safeguarding Hub.

We have an exciting opportunity for an additional Senior Social Worker to be part of that service and new way of working. This role provides the opportunity for an interesting mix of role and responsibilities.

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker, with demonstrable experience of working in an Adult Safeguarding context under the Care Act 2014. You will be able to think systemically and have a commitment to developing others. You will be an excellent communicator and able to both lead and advise on complex safeguarding issues.

You will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal whilst discharging your statutory Duties. You will be confident and assertive and able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, with an ability to think flexibly and creatively in a solution focused way. Above all, you will be an excellent team player.

Closing date: 11pm Friday 14 May 2021
Interview date: TBC
